This smoke alarm’s 4-Inch design is smaller than the average 5-Inch design and is great for small spaces without sacrificing the key features you wish to have. Comprehensively tested and designed to the contemporary UL standard for safety and reliability, the smoke alarm is powered by 2 replaceable AA alkaline batteries (included) for continual detection even right through outages. Batteries must be replaced each 6 months or when the alarm sounds a low battery chirp. In addition, it’s self-testing and easy to install with the included twist-and-click mounting bracket. This Kidde smoke alarm is equipped with end-of-life notifications so that they can beep to remind you it’s time to replace it at the of its 10-year lifespan. Meets requirements of 9th Edition UL 217 and FCC. Does not meet requirements for CSFM.

10-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY: Warranty begins when the alarm is powered on. If that date is unknown, it must be assumed that alarms must be replaced.
